Obituary of Verda Jane Hoskins

Verda "Jane" Hoskins, 95, of Morgantown, died Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Mon General Hospital.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. "Charlie" Hoskins and Thelma Rose (Rogers) Hoskins. Jane was part of a very loving family with four sisters and three brothers.

As a young woman, during the early 1930's, Jane and her family moved from Morgantown to Hollywood, California, where she and her sisters performed modeling, singing and dancing in the flourishing movie industry. Jane always talked about how much she enjoyed the wonder and beauty of Hollywood and the movie stars.

Rose Marie Anderson, of Golden, Colorado, is the sole surviving member of Jane's immediate family. For years prior to Jane's death, she and Rose Marie would spend hours talking on the phone.

For years and during her recent illness Jane's loving nephew Terry Hoskins and his daughter Tammy cared for her.

Because Jane was such a kind and loving person she had many friends that went out of their way to help her, she was always very grateful. Thanks to all of those people and caregivers.
