Obituary of Elora Jean Moore
Elora Jean Moore, 81, Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her residence.
Jean was born in Bird City, Kansas, on July 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Leland Benjamin Kidder and Virginia Margaret Colebank Kidder.
She was a dedicated employee at Sundale Nursing Home, serving as Nurse’s Aide. She selflessly gave her time over the years with the Betty Puskar Breast Cancer Center, Relay for Life, Christian Help, soup kitchens and was very active in church activities. She also was a league bowler for many years.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Debra Smyth and husband William, Jr., “Bill”, of Morgantown and Donna Allred and husband, Darren, of Lexington, North Carolina; grandchildren: Lori Fetty, Chad Fetty, Randy McCartney and wife, Kristi, Ryan McCartney and wife, Lauren, of Denver; great grandchildren, Deshon Gibson and Finnlee McCartney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Harold Hinebaugh and Frank Moore; sister, Nadine Mace and grandson, Kurt McCartney.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Wednesday, December 27 from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. On Thursday, December 28, visitation will be held at Woodland United Methodist Church, 1846 Mileground Road, Morgantown, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am with Rev. Lee Haught officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden.
