Offering my deepest condolences to the family. While words fail to capture the pain of losing someone you love, may the God of all comfort and the love of family and friends help to sustain you at this most difficult time. May your hearts receive comfort from the promise God gives at Revelation 21:4…pain and death will be no more.

First off I would like to express my condolences to aunt Donna, Jamie, And Julie. I hope that you were all handling this well, and it makes me feel better to know that you all have each other. Second, I would like to Say that even though we have not been in communication for quite some time, I want to say I love you all, and I am very saddened to hear what his happened. I did not know.
I think of you all often. I can still remember the wonderful times we had as children with Donna, Jim, Olympia, and my grandparents. Special. I have always remembered kindness when I think of Debbie, and it makes me happy to have those memories. It also makes me happy to think she’s with uncle Jim and my mom.
I now live in San Francisco, and have a beautiful wife and 10-year-old daughter whom are more than I could ever ask for. I have a construction company that builds restaurants in the city which has been a rewarding career.
I love you all and hope you are well... T

It’s been a very long time but my family owes a great deal to the love of the Lattanzi family. We are so sad to hear. I’m teaching out in California and in K so I realize Debbie and I shared a similar life even if far away. My mom, Jean, passed five years ago but I know she’d want to talk to Donna to bring her thoughts of love and support. Please know you are all in our thoughts. My brother called to tell me this yesterday-I can certainly hope comfort is taken in knowing Debbie and Jim are reunited. Such a good poppa. I’m saddened and deeply wishing the family strength. Sarah.

I was so heartbroken to hear of Debbie's passing. She was at first just a customer of mine, and quickly became a friend. In the last couple years she was teaching, I assisted her with "tech stuff" as she called it. I would help show her how to enter various data, create various projects for her students, even to help her with email. I would try to refuse payments, and she would insist I take it every single time. In more recent years I would take my daughter to her house after Halloween trick or treating would end. Debbie would have a special bag of goodies for her including candy, pencils & crayons, various educational games, etc. That special thing she did for my daughter meant more to me than anyone will know. Thanks Debbie for always being a great friend, and my special always-needed-computer-help gal. One day I'll see you again!!

Exuberant friend, Morgantown High School Classmate of Class of 1976, MJHS and MHS Marching band member, Lambda Omicron chapter of WVU Alpha Phi Omega member, loyal Mountaineer, West Virginia and dedicated Monongalia County public school teacher, community and volunteer activist, and perhaps most importantly loving daughter, sister, cousin, niece and dear friend of all who knew her with heartfelt emotion and sincerity. Words are most difficult never dreamed I would be writing such, but in honor, tribute and celebration of a very full, energetic, enjoyable life whose spirit was contagious, genuine, most appreciated wrapped with smiles, hugs, laughter and yes tears and some sorrows too. Now in celebration of you my friend who I last saw attending my late mother's Celebration of Life on Palm Sunday 2016, and who also shared March 22nd as same birthday as my late mother. your dad and my mom served together on the Morgantown City Planning Commission, we shared constructing a WVU Homecoming float representing old Mountaineer Field in its final season along with APO members and inmates of the Kennedy Youth Center, who graduated in 1976 from Morgantown High School along with me your life impacted so many in diverse numerous ways and you ill not be forgotten by your family, your coworker teachers, your former students and nor by your friends. Peace be with you and your family now and in the days ahead. Blessings.

Dear Lattanzi Family,
I would like to give my sincere condolences to you all. Debbie had a very VERY special place in my heart. I just now heard of the news and am grieving with sadness.
Debbie and I met through some mutual friends and we later became friends. She worked with a gentleman named Howard Feathers. You may remember him. Debbie asked me to help with his daily duties and I jumped in. She was a top notch "aid" to Howard and he had so much respect for Debbie. Debbie had a huge giving heart that was unmeasurable. I am the guy who used to help mow her lawn and gave her back bathroom a freshend up look. I just loved going to her house and chatting and seeing her at the Tailgates. That is how I met all of you except for her brother. She was a true FAMILY person.
My eyes are full of tears and my heart is heavy cause I know I will not get to see that wonderful smile Debbie always had.
She told me stories of her "kids" at school and showed me her next years lessons and above all else, how she just adored teaching.
We all will miss Debbie but she will always be in our hearts and minds forever.
I will miss you my dear friend,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all~

Debra was my daughter's, Evie, kindergarten teacher at North Elementary and was truly a wonderful teacher. She was so kind with the children and they learned so much with her. She was always quick to share a story or encouraging word with me about Evie's time in her classroom whenever I saw her in the community. I am sorry for the family's loss.
