Obituary of Luke Arron Becilla
Luke A. Becilla, 33, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his residence.
Luke was born in Morgantown, WV, on June 4, 1985, the son of Paul and Barbara (Wright) Becilla.
He graduated from Morgantown High School, attended Surry Community College and Fairmont State University. His hobbies included fishing, basketball, but most of all, baseball which he played at many levels from Little League to Collegiate.
Luke was an avid collector/finder of stray animals of all kinds that he would bring home to live happily ever after. One of Luke’s favorite artists was 2pac singing “Heaven Ain’t Hard to Find” which he has now found.
In addition to his parents, Luke was survived by sister, Amie J. Becilla of Morgantown; brother, Andrew J. Becilla of Morgantown, WV; aunts and uncles Kathy (Becilla) Jeffreys of Warsaw, IN, Ed and Sandy Becilla/Pell of Peterstown, WV, Mark and Carol Becilla of Morgantown, John and Lavina Becilla of Rocky Mount, NC, Gary Wright, of Waynesburg, PA, and Paul and Nola Wright, of Pennsylvania Furnace, PA, along with numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Joseph and Martha Becilla of Morgantown, and Wayne and Mary Wright of Waynesburg, PA, along with his dog, Dakota, of 15 years, and his two cats Haven and Cheddar, aunts and uncles, Richard Jeffreys, of Warsaw, IN, Jay Becilla of Morgantown, and Karen Wright of Waynesburg, PA.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, on Sunday, July 15, from 1-6 p.m. and at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3334B University Avenue, on Monday, July 16 from 10-11 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow with Father Gary Naegele as Celebrant.
