Francis Earl Henderson, 62, of Morgantown passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Francis fought a three year hard and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and is now at peace. Francis was born in Washington, DC, February 19, 1956, the son of the late Jack Poulter and Mary Cavallaro.
Francis came to Morgantown to attend WVU in 1982. He worked at the Chestnut Pub as a bartender where he met the love of his life, Cheryl. They were married for 32 years. He later worked at North Central Distributors, Phillip Morris, and then Sysco Foods as a Sales Rep for over 22 years. Francis enjoyed life to the fullest. He was active in the Morgantown Hockey Association where he served as both past President and Coach. His favorite hobby was fishing along the banks of Cheat Lake as well as the scenic views of Smith Mountain Lake. But his favorite time in life was when he was in the kitchen cooking up something delicious for his family. His specialty was Shrimp Bisque and Prime Rib on Christmas Eve which has been a tradition for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl and his daughter, Dr. Ashlee Henderson of Nashville, TN, and son, Taylor Henderson of Morgantown.
