Obituary of Daniel Lee Shelton

Daniel Lee “Hippie” Shelton, 59, of Morgantown, previously of Roanoke, VA, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. 

 

Daniel was born in Roanoke on May 21, 1959, the son of the late Linden and Frances Shelton. 

 

Hippie was a Journeyman Electrician by trade for more than 34 years. Anyone who knew him, knew of his selfless, giving and loving nature. He was always willing to help anyone in need and never knew a stranger.

 

Hippie is survived by his loving wife, Carol Jean Guy; his children, Trisha Shelton and Joshua Shelton; stepson, Manuel Perry, Jr.; grandchildren: Tyler Adkins, Rhiannon Alexander, Jordan Perry and Jayden Perry; siblings: Allen Jennings, Gregory Shelton and Kenny Shelton; and many friends. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

 

He would want to acknowledge and thank especially, Pat Ely for all his love and support, particularly during his struggle.
