Rose Marie (Cavallaro) Weimer, 85, of Morgantown, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2018, at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Uniontown, PA, a daughter of the late Larry and Mary (Neval) Cavallaro.

She was a 1951 graduate of Morgantown High School and attended West Virginia University. She was an employee of WVU Extension Service for 33 years. A strong woman of faith and family matriarch, she was active in numerous St. Theresa's and St. Francis de Sales Catholic Churches' ministries and parish activities, including Pastoral Council, Eucharistic ministry and choir. Rose Marie also enjoyed her many bridge club groups and dinner outings with special friends. An avid Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steeler fan, she had a special fondness for the WVU men's and women's basketball teams.

Rose Marie is survived by her son David and daughter Terri Howes, granddaughters Blake and Jordan Howes, all of Morgantown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as her former son-in-law Tony Howes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald "Pal" Weimer, and brothers Freddie Cavallaro, Sammy Cavallaro and Nicky Cavallaro. The family would like to thank the staff at Mon General Hospital for their comfort and care over the past several weeks. In honoring Rose Marie's wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.

Friends will be received at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Saturday, November 3, from 9am to 10am. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am with the Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE as celebrant and Rev. John V. DiBacco, Jr. as co-celebrant. Private family inurnment will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at a later date.
