In early education, Norma attended Dellslow School, Sabraton School, and graduated from Morgantown High School in 1948.
She married Harold M. Bonnett from 1948 to 1957. After divorcing, she married her second husband, Melvin G. Nuce, a 1942 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was a postal worker who had one child that she raised. Mr. Nuce passed away in 1975. Her third husband, Lonnie M. Blosser, Jr., was the youngest of 14 children. He had three children: Bessie, Larry Gay, and Lester Blosser. Norma never had any children but raised a large family from start to finish.
She sang all her life. She sang in senior centers in Monongalia and surrounding counties. She did not accept money for any of the many performances where she shared her talents. She was known as "West Virginia's Own Minnie Pearl". Norma was inducted into the "Marion County Sagebrush Roundup" and was queen in 1986, 1987, and 1988. She tried to help all the children she could by calling them on to the stage with her.
Some greats she had the pleasure to sing with include: John Pyles, Sheriff Charles Whiston, Al Anderson, Jack May, Little John Graham, Blue Bonnet Girls, Buddy Starcher, Green Valley Pioneers, String Bean Russell, Utt Most Country, and J.C. & The Boys.
