Linda and all the family,
I am so sorry that Anna was taken away from her earthly family so young. It just breaks my heart to know that she is gone. I enjoyed my time coaching her in the 90’s as she was such a happy child. She was always a ray of sunshine when she walked into the gym! To this day 24 years later from the time I opened my business she still hangs in my waiting room greeting all who visit! Know that though her life was cut short she affected all those who knew her in such a profound way that she will never be forgotten!!!!

Coach Anna came up to me after tumbling practice one day 4 years ago and said "Have you ever considered competitive cheer for your girls? They have the skills and positive attitude to be great competitive cheerleaders." I had never heard of competitive cheer at that time. They have now been in it for 4 years and they love it more than anything. She saw a path for them that could only increase what she saw in them as young girls. Thank You Coach Anna for being such a positive role model for my girls then and now. Your journey was shorter than we all would have liked but I am hopeful your spirit carries on with all of us, your beautiful children, your family and your friends. Rest now and be forever at peace.
The Guinn Family - Eric, Pam, Skyler and Kendall.

Rest in peace, Anna. I worked with Anna at WVU Division of Resource Management. I smiled when I read to 'wear a pair of crazy socks' to her memorial service …. that is Anna! Crazy socks! She was a bubbly ray of sunshine when she walked thru my office door. Taken from this life way too soon, may her memory live on for her children as they hear all of the "Anna" stories. God bless all of you during this most difficult time.

Anna taught gymnastics at Carolina Flipz in Charlotte. She was my daughter, Rachel's favorite coach. I am a native West Virginian and a WVU grad so Rachel would always wear her WVU gear to class because she knew that Anna liked to see it and would say "Go, Mountaineers!"
Rachel took classes at Carolina Flipz for just one year when she was in middle school. She became too busy with her other activities to continue. We had lost touch with the coaches so I didn't realize that Anna had been sick.
I just want her family to know that we admired Anna greatly. She was an excellent coach. She was encouraging and positive and had a lot of expertise. Anna knew what to do when a student had a mental block. When my daughter's confidence would falter, she could talk her off the ledge. Anna was certain that her students could accomplish their goals. Her positivity and confidence were contagious. It breaks my heart that she is gone too soon. The world could sure use more of her goodness and light. I feel lucky that we had the opportunity to know her.
