L. Wayne Fisher, 67, of Morgantown passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Born in 1952, Wayne was the son of Betty E. Fisher and the late Quentin "Doc" Fisher of St. Albans, West Virginia.

A graduate of West Virginia University, Wayne was an avid Mountaineer Football fan. For 47 years, Wayne and the Mountaineer Central football crew attended home and away games to cheer on their beloved Mounties. What started in college become not only an annual tradition but a family that meant the world to Wayne and his wife, Bonnie.

In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his wife, Bonnie McBee Fisher, his sister, Dinah Fisher, and many dear friends, especially Michael Prudich and John Johnson. He was preceded in death by a bevy of beloved Weimaraners.

A private graveside service will be held in St. Albans. Memorial donations can be made in Wayne's honor to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for Patient Care (Leonard Fisher in the memo line / UPMC Cancer Center Pavilion, Ste 18, 5150 Centre Ave Pittsburgh PA 15232) or the Mountaineer Athletic Club (PO Box 0877 Morgantown WV 26507).
