I am so sorry to learn of you loss. I knew Pat from his first days in Morgantown. He taught me much about the world outside my small bubble. He was a rugby legend and a great team mate. Always with a laugh and a never get me down attitude. I will really miss him and I know you will more. God bless you with his peace in this time of grief.

You loved nature so much. Everyone knew that and when I saw your 'camp's outside and the fire was always going I knew that was your happy place. I too love nature and my whole apartment is filled with plants and its currently looking like a jungle. Now I know who I've inherited that from. New Zealand is so rich in trees and forests. So wherever I'm walking I'll feel like you're there with me, because nature is a part of you and now you're a part of it too. I'll never be alone as I walk through the trees

When you first met me when I was born you bought me butterfly earrings and my Mum had called me a butterfly when I was in her belly. When you passed away Mum gave me those earrings as she just found them and I've never taken them off since. Everywhere I go I'll be looking out for a butterfly, because in every one that I see itll be a little piece of you. And I'll never forget that. Thinking of you always, your daughter Olivia

Our most sincere and deepest sympathy to The Mahe Family and the many friends of Pat. I have met many people in my lifetime but nobody as generous, kind, loving and fun to be with as Pat. Heidi and I will never forget the time we where at one of the many Mahe get togethers and he made a special place in the woods for us to camp. He named it the LOVE NEST and dedicated it to Heidi and me. It is until this day a very fond memory of the great heart he had. When he was training for the Tough man contest we would spar and man he was strong. He beat the tar out of me on a regular basis. Heidi and I will have him in our hearts forever. The TONGAN TERROR will live on forever! With all our love, John and Heidi Caldwell.H
