Obituary of Patricia Joe Fortuna
Patricia Joe Fortuna, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born March 30, 1935, in Bertha Hill, WV, the only child of Stephen Walter and Rose Elizabeth Yedlosky.
She was a homemaker and worked briefly at the WVU Bookstore and selling Avon. She was a volunteer at the Scott's Run Settlement House and previously a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Bingo and was an avid Mountaineer football fan.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Beth Ann McCormick and her husband William, Sr., Pamela Jo Gutta and her husband Greg, Thomas S. Fortuna and his wife Cynthia, and Jennifer Lynn Bennett and husband Joseph; eight grandchildren, Aaron Dlugos and his wife Tekisha, Evan Dlugos and his wife Venus, Greg Gutta, Jr. and wife Christen, Matthew Gutta, Hannah Bennett, Kylie Bennett, Christian Fortuna, and William McCormick, Jr.; and five great-grandchildren, including Noah and Cole Dlugos.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Thomas P. Fortuna, and son-in-law, David Dlugos.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mapleshire and Sundale as well as Dr. John Lobban's office for their love and care.
Cremation services have been provided by Hastings Funeral Home. There will be no public services and private family inurnment will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
