I just saw the posting regarding Steve. I am sorry for your loss. Steve and I played football in high school and we had many great times on the field. One in particular comes to mind. We traveled to Clarksburg Victory to take on their all-state halfback. Steve and I made a pact on the opening kick-off, if he came our way with the ball we would hit him like he had never been hit before. Well, he came our way - Steve went high and I went low. Their all-state halfback was not a factor for the rest of the game. We used to remind each other of that event whenever we would see each other. Rest easy my friend - we'll talk about those times when we meet again.

To Steve’s family, I would like to send along my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved Steve. When I heard of his passing, I felt a wave of sorrow, even though it has been many years since we have been in touch. My memories of Steve go back many years to when we were growing up in First Ward. He was a good friend, and I can remember many fun times we had together as “First Warders”. Our group of friends was a tight-knit group who spent a lot of time together doing many different fun things, especially playing sports. I will always remember Steve as a kind person with a great sense of humor. He seemed to be always laughing about something. May he rest in peace. Tom Morris
