Virginia Sufritz Stinellis, 100, of Morgantown passed away at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to be with her Lord on July 14, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born on February 4, 1919 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sufritz.
She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church of Morgantown.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Roger) Warsewich of Morgantown; her grandson, Jason (Andrea) of Charlottesville, VA; and two step great-grandchildren, Grace and Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fern Stinellis on September 13, 1968; three brothers, Vincent, Andy, and Michael Sufritz; and three sisters, Peggy Rishel, Mary Friend, and Ann Miller.

Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother. She was also a very capable handy woman, even building her own fireplace in her home. She was also known to “borrow” her son-in-law’s tools from time to time. She also loved visiting Las Vegas and playing slots and cards.
The family would like to take this time to express their gratitude to Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, all of the angels of B Wing Staff, Therapist, Restorative, Kitchen and Dining Staff, Housekeeping (especially Bob and Andrea), Maintenance, Laundry and Activities for their endless care given with love, understanding, and compassion. Virginia was always made to feel special. Finally, a special thank you to Kerry Raber for always being there for Virginia and her family.
In abiding by her wishes her body was donated to the Human Registry of West Virginia University. The family will greet family and friends at St. Frances de Sales Roman Catholic Church on July 27, 2019, at 9:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
