Obituary of Julia Marie Snowdon
Julia Marie Snowdon, 92, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Jefferson City, MO, on December 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Paul James Heidenreich and Leola Margaret Bost Heidenreich.
Julie served faithfully along with her husband in ministry for over 50 years with Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and the Sabraton Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, the children's church, participating in the Women's Missionary Prayer Fellowship, the American Baptist Women's Ministry, and the Lions Club. Beyond this, she enjoyed opening her home serving delicious meals to her family and many missionaries and church workers. She loved taking care of her home as well.
Julie is survived by her children, David Snowdon and wife, Susan, Janice French, and Priscilla Rondy; grandchildren: Jonathan Snowdon and wife, Fiona, Sara Sloppy and husband, Darren, Jennifer Bartlett and husband, Spencer, Diana Joren and husband, Joshua, John Eldon French, Katerina French, Tasha French, Leann Poling and husband, Adam, Tamara, Joel, Peter, Benjamin, Samuel, and Catherine Rondy; 17 great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 ½ years, Pastor Barney Snowdon; eight siblings: Paul, Teresa, Carol, Mickey, Deloris, George, William and Peggy; and daughter, Deborah who passed away in 1983.
Family and friends will be received at Sabraton Baptist Church, 1641 Sabraton Avenue, Morgantown, on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. until funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. with Reverend David Snowdon officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
