Growing up on Grand Street, I have memories of Pauline and her family for as long as I can remember. She was a wonderful person, and very special neighbor. In recent years, she and her family continued to be my very close friends and neighbors. Up until just a few years ago, she and I would see each other across the street, her in her garden, and me cleaning up the sidewalk and street in front of my hemlock hedge. Naturally, we would exchange various greetings, and often crossed the street to have a bit of conversation. One day, she came over and teased me about my work, questioning me if I had gone to work for the city. So, she also had a sense of humor along with her other many fine qualities. I will miss her. I recently moved some distance from Morgantown, and regret sincerely my inability to make the drive up at this time. However, my heart will be with you, her children, grandchildren and entire extended family, as you say goodbye to someone we all loved. Sheila Scumaci
