Kathy (Barill) Evanto, 64, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 19, 1955, in Morgantown, a daughter of Elizabeth (Byrd) Barill and the late Joseph Barill.
Kathy was a lifelong resident of Morgantown and a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. She formerly worked at Kiddie Town/Richards, The Finery, and St. Francis Catholic School. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and pets. She also loved listening to music and going to concerts.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Michael Evanto; daughter, Morgan and her husband, Keith, and granddaughter, Penelope; brother, Terry Barill and his wife, Beth; father-in-law, Michael Evanto; brother and sisters-in-law, Sue Morton and her husband Dennis, Cheryl Clark and her husband Derek, Chris Evanto and his wife Julie; and nieces and nephews, Corey Barill and his wife Alyssa, Christian Barill, Jett Morton, Atticus Morton and his wife Karah, Kristy Lantzy and her husband Cole, Ryan Matala and his wife Jess, Kayli Kosten and her husband Chad, Jesse Evanto, and Lexy Evanto.
She is also survived by her large extended Barill and Evanto families, whom she loved very much.
In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Martha Lee Evanto.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Friends and family will be received at St. Mary Catholic Church, 3334B University Ave., Morgantown on Friday, January 10th from 2 PM until the time of the funeral mass at 6 PM with Father John V. DiBacco as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 3334B University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505 or to St. Ursula's Food Pantry, P.O. Box 18, Pursglove, WV 26546.
