Kim and Family, very sorry for your Loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you. The IT days at CMH near the High St. Cafe, were the Best IT times that I’ve experienced. Ken empowered the IT Dept, I learned so much from your Project Management etiquette & experience. Also, Ken getting Lynn to CMH as an IT Manager was Amazing. Joyce Managed Centricity, the rest of the staff made the Team work efficiently. We were the Best IT Team in the state of ME/New England/East Coast! Sue Pepin & Fam.

Kim, I can’t find the words to express the incredible sadness I feel. When we all landed in Maine back in the mid 1990s, you and Ken quickly became our best friends. There are so many fantastic memories I have from backyard barbecues, New Years Eve bashes, to the infamous hospital annual galas. We could knock on your door, wine in hand and know we were welcome. (ok, maybe it was the wine???) There were some funny memories too. Once, Doug flew Ken and Kim V., to N. Carolina (if memory serves) for a “boys” golf weekend. They returned complaining that all they had to keep warm in the plane (apparently it was below freezing at altitude) was one tiny throw rug. They talked about that for weeks, it seemed. One particular memory that stands out was the time that you and Ken invited Doug and I to meet you for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Lewiston because “you had something you had to tell us”. Our imaginations ran a bit wild and we were worried at the time about what it could possibly be that sounded so serious. We were surprised and overjoyed to hear your news that the two of you had decided to adopt a child! We anxiously waited until finally, after an arduous process and journey, you were able to bring home your beautiful and precious Katya! Fast forward a few years and as life sometimes does, we were all forced to say farewell to Maine and pursue different paths. Distance separated us, but our friendship remained intact. In 2008 we had made vacation plans together but they were altered when we lost Doug shortly before our scheduled vacation in the Keys. You persuaded Michael and me to join you and Ken for a few days at the vacation house we had rented. You and Ken were an island in the storm. One memory I have from those few days was Ken ordering giant margaritas in honor of Doug while we were watching the sunset and toasting him. Again, moving forward a few years, Salvatore came into my life and you and Ken opened your arms wide and welcomed him. I will miss Ken’s easy nature and ready smile. He was always just plain fun to be around. I can so easily picture him right now. Kim, I understand the loss you and Katya feel is beyond description, but know that my heart is with you. You and Ken and Katya aren’t just my friends, you are my family.

Dear Clarke family -- we were very sorry to learn of Ken's passing. Your husband and father was a very nice man. I only knew him through our association at The Pines and our walks and talks on the golf course. We talked family, golf, skiing and IT "stuff". Such a nice person and gentle sole Ken was. We have been missing him and know all of you will miss him so much more. Please live in God's comfort and support in the past days, now and in the future.
Sincerely, Dave & Kari E. Sand-Jecklin
