Many years ago I was welcomed into the Burr and Hugo families. At family gatherings, I met the Markusics, and, of course, Nicole. I just want to share my memories of her. To me she was always welcoming, witty, charming, a great conversationalist with the most amazing, wonderful smile. I heard the sad news and my heart breaks for her family. So with deeply caring thoughts and prayers for her family, I send my most sincere sympathy and condolences. May God hold you in his arms.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful video of Nicole. I can remember when she was born, and the pictures of her with her grandfather and grandmother (Uncle Rudy and Aunt Ann) had my tears flowing. My sincere condolences to Nicole’s family. Her family meant everything to her. I hesitate to use the word “supervise” because Nicole never needed supervision during all the years I was her supervisor at SWA, until my retirement. She was a huge asset to SWA and loved by both coworkers and customers. Her absence will be felt until the very last one of us retires. Nicole was also my friend and always fun to be with. I can’t even picture her without a smile on her angelic face. I am one of many who are heartbroken and devastated by Nicole’s passing. She will be missed more than words can say.

To the wonderful Markusic family, we came to know Nicole when Nicole’s sister Stephanie married our son Craig. From the first time we met Nicole until the last visit we enjoyed, Nicole always had a smile on her face. She was one of those people that effortlessly exuded warmth and love. We immediately became family.
There are no words to express our sadness and sympathy at her passing. Nicole will be missed and will not be forgotten. I pray that the Markusic family will feel the presence of our Lord and know that Nicole is wrapped in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Though there is unbearable pain at her loss, Nicole is surrounded by heavenly love as well as unending love from all who had the great honor of knowing her! Her memory is etched in our hearts and our minds!
Rest In Peace dear Nicole and know that you will be forever loved and missed more than words can say!

Nicole was such a wonderful, genuine, beautiful, and one of a kind soul. She was always a bright light to so many and will be missed very deeply. I am very honored to have had her as a friend. To my family. How can I express my sorrow at Nicole's passing? There are no words. I would love to see you all in person, but no hugs would be allowed and we can't take chances with our health. Especially since everyone tells us we're old and shouldn't do things. Our kids can be so bossy these days! Just know you all are in my heart forever and always. Nicole and I shared the love of Pittsburgh. When she came to Southwest Airlines, my son was a student at Pitt. Nicole was always so attentive in asking to see pictures of my grandchildren.
Having the love for football, we both always gave each other jabs ;Steelers/ Patriots. I must admit she got the better of me due to the scandals with the Patriots. She loved to jab me particularly about Tom Brady. While I countered with Big Ben , I always lost.
Nicole was a true Warrior for Southwest Airlines. She found her niche in the Baggage Service Office . She was a great representative, in this department. She felt that true concern when bags didn't show up. We will miss her in MHT.
I will miss you Nicole. I hope you are resting in eternal life this day and forever more.
The last thing she said to me was "we're not watching Fox News". I laughed as I always did. I would laugh about this forever to have you back. God bless your family
finally I can say that I was always luckier than her: I had a friend named Nicole!!!
