Charles Martin, Jr., 75, of Morgantown, passed away at Encompass Health Hospital of Morgantown, on Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was born on January 23, 1945, in Grafton, WV, a son of the late Charles Hobert Martin, Sr., and Virginia (DeWitt) Martin. Charles was employed with Greer Industries for The Dominion Post where he worked for 31 years as a Pressman as well as a member of the Graphic Communication International Union. Later, he was part of C&A Cut Flowers. Charles was survived by his loving wife, Anna (Gutta) Martin; children, Sherry Laudermilch and husband, James, Rick Martin and wife, Velma, James Savage and wife, Gina, Joyce Tennant and husband, Jerry, Karen Shafer and husband, Tim, Robert Savage, and Jason Savage; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Pamela Hilling and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William "Bill" Martin, brother-in-law, Bobbie Hilling and infant sister. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Wednesday, June 10, 2020, from 5 - 8 PM. The funeral service will be held privately and he will be interred at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Although guests are invited to come visit, they are strongly urged to abide by CDC pandemic outlines, including social distancing from one another, wearing masks and avoiding contact with others.
