I was surprised and saddened to find Jack's obituary online this morning.
In 1971, Jack and I travelled, together, to Andrews Air Force Base where we were assigned as medics at the Malcolm Grow Medical Center. We were barracks roommates for a while and Jack, at one point, talked me into helping him coach a youth baseball team on base. I'll never forget him pushing his long hair up under a wig, so he could pass inspection. We didn't see each other after we left the service but I won't forget him.
Although extremely belated, please accept my sincerest sympathy and condolences.
Jim Emerick

Jack was one of the first we met when our son joined WVU hockey. He made us feel welcome and a part of the group. The more my family got involved the more time spent with Jack. He was always a gentleman and devoted so much time to the team. He was kind and always had a smile. When I lost my husband 2 yrs. ago he was one of the first I heard from. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
Deepest regards
Mary Jo and Tyler (TK) Conaway
