As a Reading Teacher at Mountainview Elementary School, Frances, third grade teacher, invited me into her classroom to co-teach Writing Workshop and literacy lessons. Together we planned, discussed, taught and laughed together and those times were very special to both of us. She was witty, intelligent, loving, and cared about her students. Her smile was contagious. She touched so many.

Frances was caring and loving person. When I was in my education program, Frances was one of my mentor teachers. She was also my West Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa Psi chapter sisters. She would keep us on the straight path. Frances will be missed by one and all.

Frances Golden was my mentor and my friend. When I began working as an educator in February of 1971 at Ridgedale Elementary School, she very quickly guided and supported me. Her wise advice and encouragement was instrumental in my development as a teacher and a role model for children. Later we became sorority sisters in Alpha Delta Kappa and continued our friendship. Frances Golden was a good person who will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. May your many warm memories comfort you in your grief.

My name is Paula Wilkerson. I met Frances years ago in weigh watchers she became family to all of us. I loved when her and her sister would come and I called her mom and her sister auntie. Loved her stories and her wit. She loved her family and talked of them often. She showed us how to use a weighted Hulu hoop and was loved by us all. Rest easy sweet Frances you will be so missed by your Weight Watchers Family. We all were so blessed to have known you and will miss you dearly.
