Clarence “Butch” Kennedy, 75, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Mon Health Medical Center. He was born on August 31, 1945, the son of the late John Kennedy and Lillian (Hertzog) Jenkins. Butch dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and enjoyed watching the grandchildren play. He was a member of the Dream Machine Car Club and loved going for rides in his antique truck. He is survived by his three children and their mothers Dana & Faith. Shiela Kennedy-Stiles and her partner, Charlie Patrick, of Morgantown, Angie Bartley of Tennessee and Donald and Melissa Martin of Morgantown; 10 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, three brothers, David and Louise Kennedy of High Point, NC, Noel Kennedy, Tim and Debbie Jenkins; sister, Billie and E.D. “Rabbit” Swearingen, all of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews; his long time best friends Tim & Ann Haverfield; his long time pet, “Missy”; and longtime companion Donna. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Rick; sisters, Juanita Hertzog, Debbie Hose and son-in-law, Eric Stiles. Friends and family will be received at The Lighthouse Cathedral, 2803 Kingwood Pike, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, from 3 – 8 p.m. Private family funeral services will be held at a later time with internment to take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
