I had talked to Jack back in October and he asked if I had any plans to hunt BBQ last Fall. I told him we were going to try but my parents were ill and I was helping take care of them. I just recently tried to get in touch with Jack with no response and discovered he had passed. I spent many a Fall and Spring with Jack in BBQ holler and will miss him terribly. We share many memories together. I wish I had learned of his passing earlier. If members of the family see this please try to reach out to me at TWhite4508@aol.com.
I was sorry to hear of Jack's death. I had just sent a Christmas card, which will arrive too late. Our last visit with him was when Willa Jean and I met him on Barbeque Run and toured the old home site. I have many photos he took, including our wedding pictures. I will sadly miss my frequent telephone conversations with him. May God bless and comfort his family.

Although I never met Jack, I had the greatest admiration for him. His articles in the Hur Herald gave me many enjoyable moments. I may not understand it, but I feel a great personal loss. I extend my condolences to the family.
