Hello Penn, I remember Sue and you Penn and especially Cindy at Gatewood Baptist Church in the early 1970's. Cindy and I were the same age and she and I sat near one another during Sunday School worship time. We also lived near each other with my family being one street over on Gatewood Road. Your family's faith walk were an inspiration to me even when I was an 11 year old. I remember Cindy inviting us over to your home on Austin Street and Cindy presenting a faith lesson in your basement. I held one of Sue's rabbits and I remember it wetting on my pant leg. I remember too some of the lesson Cindy taught that day and her burden for the lost. I always wanted to share with Sue and you Penn how much your daughter influenced my lifetime walk with Christ. When that fateful day happened in 1972 it broke the hearts of everyone who knew your family. Myself included. I know you will all be reunited when the time comes. Sincerely, Gino Amodei (Kent, WA)

Penn and Family,
Please accept my sympathy and prayers for you and the Family. It has been a long time ago, but I still have pleasant memories of Sue who was not only a great secretary, but also a friend.

What an amazing lady and advocate for animals. Sue and I collaborated on many a cat rescue and I was always inspired by her passion to help the older ones, the hard to adopt ones, the underdog in every situation. She was always a cheerleader for my cat rescue efforts, lifting me up when I was worn out by the sheer number of cats needing help. The next senior cat that comes into the shelter I will pull in honor of Sue. You will be missed dear friend.

Penn and Family
I was so sorry to hear of Sue Ellen passing away. She was a special cousin to me. I use to spend some time in the summer at the cranberry marsh in NW Wisconsin with her family. We always had so much fun in the country of Northern Wisconsin. We got one of our first wonderful dogs from her when she was in Seattle. Through the years we were somewhat out of touch but I kept up on the news of her from her sister, Linda
.
Penn, children and grandchildren I send my condolences and care to all of you.
Love Mary Ann Mortensen Beatty
