Obituary of Shirley Ann Cordwell

Shirley Ann Wolfe Cordwell, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at her daughter's home. She was born August 8, 1936 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Charles and Norma Edith (Hagedorn) Wolfe. She was a member of Mellon Chapel Church in Morgantown. Her greatest love was her family and being a homemaker. Her door was always open to family and friends. She is survived by her children, Robert Cordwell, Jr. and his wife Rochelle of OH, Ronald Cordwell of Georgia, Rebecca Wilhelm and her husband Tim of WV, Richard Cordwell and his wife Kim of WV, Roger Cordwell of OH, and Ruth Berry and her husband Martin of WV; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Vivian Pugh of WV, Karen Webb of MD, and Robert Wolfe and his wife Candy of WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Phillip Cordwell, who passed away in 1983; her companion, George Berry; siblings, Norma Wolfe, Wayne Wolfe and his wife Mary, Harry Wolfe, Donald Wolfe, Dennis Wolfe and Ronald "Jack" Wolfe. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Rehabilitation and Hospice employees for their love and care. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with private graveside services. Due to COVID-19, all services will be private at this time and a memorial service for the public will be planned for a later date.
