Mr. Miller was one of the nicest teachers at Marysville High School and an excellent ag instructor. As a member of the MHS Class of 1969, I send my deepest sympathy to his family, friends and former students.

Odell is remembered for his historical research of 18th century German immigration to Pennsylvania via his leadership of Palatines to America organization and publication of sell-out book with brother Kyle on our first Miller ancestor in Shenandoah County. Descendants of Jacob Miller/Muller of Stoney Creek, Shenandoah County, Virginia. Kyle Lee Miller and Odell Carlton Miller, It was a pleasure to get to know Odell during research. One of his pencil-stickynotes wood crafting pieces adorn my desk.

To the family of Odell Miller,
We had the great pleasure of knowing your father during our years at The Ohio State University. As my "special interest", now husband, Larry was in Ag. Ed. and I was in Animal Science, 1976-1980, Odell became a dear friend. He was an inspiration to my husband and his future role as an Ag. teacher from 1980 through present day. I grew to love him as he encouraged me to pursue Agriculture and to experience my first farm work experience, in Germany of all places, through an exchange program. It was such a valuable experience! I grew up in Toledo so this was all new to me!
He was an encourager for both of us in Ag. Ed., Animal Science, the Ag. Ed. Society, Little "I" and all things Agriculture.
We continue to exchange Christmas cards and look forward to his letters about himself and his family. We were also proud recipients of one of his wood pieces and will cherish it for years to come.
We were all blessed to know Odell and will surly miss him.
We send our condolences and prayers to his beloved family.

Odell was a wonderful neighbor, always ready to help me out with a tool in his workshop or making a piece I needed to finish a job. He always had a cheerful hello and often an interesting story about a mutual friend or one of his students.

Odell always went out of his way to make me feel special. I first met him when I was a student in the Marysville FFA. I received countless letters over the years of my FFA career from him. Then when I went to college we stayed in touch. I have had the privilege to follow his legacy and teach Ag at Marysville for the last 16 years. I was always excited to see and talk with Odell each time he made the trip to Ohio. We spoke on the phone and exchanged letters. He was a true mentor to me. He will be missed by many. I will cherish the memories I had with your father. I feel honored to have known him.

Mr. Miller had quite an influence on my life. Even though I only had him for two years as my ag teacher, I ended up being an ag teacher/FFA advisor because of his influence. That may have been one of his big surprises. Always had the most joyful reunions at National FFA Conventions. Rest in the Lord's peace, Mr. Miller...(Fuzzy)!!!
