I worked with Jen at the beginning of this century when we were both just kids and we were part of the Casa crew. She slipped out of my life as it happens as you move on through your own stages. I remember her as a very kind person, and that is some of the highest praise I can give. I'm absolutely gutted by this news and for those who love her and were closer to her than I ever was.

The best memories I have of Jennifer were from the summer before our grandfather passed away. I spent the summer with him between semesters and she would come out and visit whenever she could get away. It wasn't often since she was only 16 but it was a pleasure to share those days with him with other family. The smile it put on our grandfathers face when she was around was unforgettable.
We used to stay out a little too late. Pretty sure it got her in trouble but those were good times. We would go rollerblading around downtown Waynesburg or I would go down to Morgantown and hang out at their house for a bit. There was one night when we were hanging out, aunt Nancy gave her money to get a hair cut that day so we went out and bought scissors. Aunt Nancy, I really do appreciate the compliments on how good a job I did!!!
Looking after grandpap was by no means a burden. Her being able to spend time with us just made it that much more enjoyable. I really miss those days. I only regret that I didn't spend more time with you when I had the opportunity to.
We'll do all we can to help take care of those babies for you so you can rest in peace.
With love

I remember Jennifer growing up as my neighbor. We bought the house next to her family when she was six. She convinced her parents to let her get a dog some years later, and she worked at training Cookie. Fast forward a few more years and she was a great babysitter for our son while we went to movies or concerts. She always loved animals so I knew she’d find a way to work with them. I’m sure she had the same tender heart for the family she grew up in and her own children. May she rest now, and may her family know she brightened the days of many people in the short life she lived.

I remember thinking Jennifer was the coolest person around when I met her as a little girl. She was my friend's big (teenage) sister AND she could drive- so cool, right? Well I was getting into horseback riding at the time and would go out to the barn every Saturday to work for a free lesson. Jennifer was the one who gave me rides out to those lessons, every Saturday. She and I shoveled poop, fed and turned out horses for hours just so we could have that ONE hour on the back of a horse. We went on trail rides and rode in the ring where she taught me some tips on my hunter-jumper techniques. Jennifer was AMAZING on horseback- she jumped over giant gates no worry; I never became as accomplished and equestrian as she was.
I gotta say, though, my favorite part- and the part I remember the best- was going to get lunch. Riding in her car, she played rock music I had no idea existed and I grew to love. We would go get lunch at Hero Hut (lol) and I would eat the most unhealthy crap, but it was soooo good.
I didn't stick with horseback riding so these Saturdays didn't happen for long, but I remember them vividly. About a month ago, Jennifer was taking care of my pupper Noodle up at Hillcrest and she seemed just as cool and comfortable in her own skin as she did almost 20 years ago when she and I were connecting over our love of animals, music and loving life. We didn't talk about the past at this appointment, but she did mention how proud she was of her sister Lauren (my friend) and the life she has built with her husband Juan out in Hawaii. (I LOVE you Lauren SO much if you are reading this.)
Anyways... thank you Jennifer for being part of my life and my deepest condolences to your family.
