I remember going to her house and going out to dinner. She loved us so much. We went bowling together. - Melody, great grandaughter (age 8)

I had the pleasure of being a bowling teammate with Jeanne for many years. I loved her sense of humor, her wonderful sarcasm and infectious laugh. She could cuss like a sailor too. I sadly hadn’t been in contact for many years, but miss her nonetheless. Condolences to the family.

For most of my 62 years my mother , father and I have known the Furman, Runner and McGinnis families in many connections. Jeanne Furman was the dearly loved matriarch, cousin, aunt, niece, mother, grandmother and extended family of friends member who always had wit, mesmerizing joyful personality, magnetic smile, sparkling & twinkling eyes, personality with hutzpah, panache, Elan, , humor, mischievousness, positivity , unwavering dedication , loyalty, faith and love ❤️ of all her famiky and many friends. Had the great pleasure being friends with her relative Mr& Mrs. Francis McGinnis , Mark McGinnis & his brother, Hugh Runner, daughter Donna J. Furman Sanders( my tap dancing teacher/ dear friend of Virginia School if Dance), son-in- law , & friend, Richard J. Sanders, her daughter Brenda J. Furman Stineking and husband Jay & Jeanne’s grandchildren. Donna and Brenda both were lovingly supported by their mom Jeanne as they refined their tap dancing talents at Virginia School if Dance and Heanbe close friends of Bob & Virginia Chittum was an ever loyal stage mom attending recital rehearsals and recitals at Metropolitan Theatre, transporting daughters to dancing classes, supervising backstage dressing rooms during recitals, attending dancing school holuday parties, parades and special events. Jeanne Runner Furman knew my late mom Mary Edith Coddington Templeton as my mom was born in 192; & Jeanne born in 1930. Jeanne and her famiky were hard working, farming famiky with rekyance on string unwavering Faith which sustained Heanne and all in worst and best of times. Once a friend of Jeanne Runner Furman each person fortunately blessed knowing her had a friend for life. Jeanne even went to the same Morgantown beautician that my mother did often at beauty shop of Rosalie at the same time engaging in lively discourse , friendship and witty conversation. Jeanne had many strong positive personality traits which she passed onto her daughters and grandchildren foremost among them was her ability to clearly speak her mind and provide her perspective viewpoint without dilution. I'll always remember Jeanne, a mother who loved and raised wonderful daughters, who in turn became wonderful mothers themselves. She also could be slightly ornery, an admirable quality in my opinion. Rest easy, dear Jeanne.
