Obituary of Jessie Evelyn Everly

Jessie Everly, 91, of Westover fell asleep in death on May 18, 2021. Jessie was born on May 9, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Glenn O. and Evelyn Thomas. She is survived by two sons, Donald Everly Jr. (Becky) of Ripley, WV and Mark Everly (Cathy) of Reedsville, WV; six grandchildren: Scott, Anthony, Yendame, Crystal, Jill and Aubre, eight great-grandchildren, Gabby, Meredith, Gavin, Cameron, Aidan, Nash, Finn and Gretchen. Also survived are two brothers and one sister, Dennis Thomas, Paul David (Carolyn) Thomas and Eunice Crites; several nieces, nephews and many dear and beloved friends. Jessie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 2, 1942 and was a member of the Morgantown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 79 years. She was a very active in the volunteer Bible ministry and loved attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Everly Sr.; a sister, Vivian Jones; and brother, Dale Thomas. Due to COVID-19, a virtual memorial service will be held on May 29, 2021 beginning at 2:00 pm.
