He was born April 3, 1956, in Steubenville, Ohio and moved to Morgantown as a child, where he remained until his death. Most important in his life was his family, especially his four grandchildren. He was a graduate of University High School, class of 1974. Beginning a career as a milk driver/deliver, he progressed to Supervisor of Operations in Fairmont. He retired in 2016. Ron is survived by his wife Margaret (Mo); his children Adam (Heather) of McDonald, PA and Rachel (Dusty) of Morgantown; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mason VanScoy and Brady and Amelia Hays. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Chrzaszcz of Morgantown and brother, Michael VanScoy of Austin, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Donald VanScoy, as well as his parents Leonard and Rose Marie VanScoy, and grandparents James and Madelyn Kyle and Vance and Mabel VanScoy. Cremation and other arrangements are being provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
