Obituary of Faye Louise Musick

Faye Louise Musick, 77, passed away August 3, 2021, following a long illness. She is the daughter of the late Thomas George and Wilda Glide (Saffle) McCord of Fairmont.
She was born on November 28, 1943, in Fairmont, WV, and graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1961. She attended Fairmont Business College and served as a local postmaster for many years as well as a manager for Rite Aid Pharmacy.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Musick-Sparks, and her spouse, Dale; her granddaughter, Morganne Dayle Sparks; her step-granddaughter, Devinne Noelle Sparks, all of Morgantown; her brother and his spouse, Ronald Lee and Gail McCord, of Marion, VA; sister, Elizabeth Joan Davis of Tunnelton, WV; and brother-in-law, Allan C. Francis of Broadway, VA. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Maxwell Musick; sister, Dorotha Mae Haught and her husband James; sister, Norma Jean Francis; brother-in-law, Michael Musick and his wife Gertrude; brother-in-law, George Musick, and his wife Vivian; brother-in-law John Musick and his wife Katie; brother-in-law Alex Musick and his wife Jean; and a sister-in-law, Mary Olexa and her husband George.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 2-5 p.m. The Parastas will be recited in the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. to conclude the evening visitation. On Monday, Mrs. Musick will be moved to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 2115 Listravia Avenue, Morgantown, where Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 9, in the church with Father James Fraser and Father Michael J. Hustzi as celebrants. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Musick's name may be made to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 2115 Listravia Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.
