Obituary of Pauline Smith

Pauline Smith, 89, of Somerset Avenue in Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born September 18, 1931, in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Grant and Hope Elinor (Hathaway) Smith. Pauline was employed with West Virginia University, retiring from many years of service in the Towers Book Store. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at the Monongalia General Hospital Information Desk. She is survived by two sons, Bruce Lee Smith and spouse, Denise, of Cheat Lake, Phillip Jay Smith and spouse, Sherrie of Navarre, FL; two sisters, Norma Kerns and Dixie Quickle; and five grandchildren, Anthony “T.J.”, Elaina, Heston, Hayden and Chase. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by one son, Eric Dean Smith; two brothers, Charles Smith and Frank Smith; and one sister, Irene Golden. Hastings Funeral Home is entrusted with private family services with committal at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
