Linda Jean McCartney, 71, of Brookhaven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital. Linda was born on November 15, 1950, daughter of the late Clarence and Thelma (Johnson) Morrison of Morgantown. She worked at GE Specialty Chemicals prior to enjoying her retirement spending time with family, shopping, reading thrillers, and collecting Disney memorabilia. Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill McCartney; daughter, Monica McCartney and husband, Travis Wilson; sister, Sandy Parenti and husband, Fred Parenti; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 5 – 8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Cooley officiating.
