Only learning of Darrell’s passing today 7/15/22. We knew Darrell while he was the “Mayor” of the 1600 Block of Kanawha Blvd. Charleston. He kept us all going. Handyman. Oversaw workers on special projects esp landscaping. We loved him. And his brother Bud who also lived on the block. Miss him. Think of him often. He nicknamed our carriage house “the shanty”. That stuck. I told a new contractor to put something in the shanty this week. Lol

We are very sorry for your loss. Heaven now has all three Wilt brothers. I still miss Ronnie Wilt every day and I know you will miss your father, too. May your many happy memories give you comfort as you grieve. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have very fond memories of Darrel.
we played basketball together with the Painters Local youth team in our early teens. We enjoyed each others company many times. Through Darrel I got to know his brother "Bud" very well, they were both very nice people. RIP
