Obituary of Max Allen Keener

Please share a memory of Max to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Max Allen Keener, 74, of Albright, passed away Thursday, July 7th at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 18, 1948, in Kingwood, a son of the late George Max and Rita Ayersman Keener. Max worked in many fields during his life, he drove truck, worked in the coal mines, and was a heavy equipment operator, just to name a few. He enjoyed collecting and trading glassware and marbles. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends, including his “morning coffee club” on Facebook. He will be missed by many. Max passed away on the same day as his beloved mother, who died on July 7, 1999. May they find comfort with each other in heaven. He is survived by his children, Keli Keener and Stephen Keener; granddaughter, Adriana; siblings, Ronald Keener (Judy), Diann Keener, Brad Keener (Debbie), and Donna Keener; and special friend, Naomi. A private family service will take place at a later time. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com.
