Mary Ellen Blaney, 91, passed away July 18,2022, at the Peroni Personal Care Home. The family would like to thank Tony and his entire staff for surrounding her with love and treating her like family. She was born August 2, 1930, in Morgantown WV, a daughter of the late Russell and Ruth (Brown) Dean. She is also preceded in death by her husband Arley (Joe) Blaney who passed away in 2005. Mrs. Blaney was a graduate of University High School in 1948 and retired from Sterling Faucet after 40 plus years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and working in her flowerbeds while living with her husband on the Point Marion Road in Morgantown. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Harry “George” Leydig and his wife Judy of Gibsonville NC, granddaughter Summer Dodson and her husband Craig, great grandchildren Camryn Dodson and Grant Dodson of Whitsett, NC In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother Frank Dean and sister Betty Johnson.
