Obituary of James Stephen Bowser

James Stephen Bowser, 72, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home. James was born on November 20, 1949 the son of the late Cecil and Jamin Bowser. James worked in WVU hospital maintenance for 43 years and he also sold tickets for the WVU football and basketball games. In his free time James enjoyed going to car shows, yard sales, watching sports, and spending time with his family. James is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Pamela Bowser; son, David Bush and his wife Brandee; daughter, Stephanie Boyce and her husband Wesley; grandchildren, Raylin Bush, Sophia, Elizabeth, Kennedy, and Sydney Boyce; sister, Patty Boggs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his four sisters, Vonda, June, Dorothy, and Betty; and his two brothers William and Robert. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, August 24, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 25, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 with Rev. Wanda Brosky officiating.
