Steve was a great atmospheric scientist who made many impactful contributions to the field. He was a humble leader who treated everyone with kindness and respect. I was fortunate to have spent 8 years with him at ARAP where he was a true leader, a mentor, as well as a friend! It was such a great pleasure to have known his wonderful loving family whom I visited on my first Easter in Princeton as well as during our 2015 trip to Morgantown. My wife and I miss the great stories and photos of the Lewellen's every Christmas. In memory of Steve, I have donated $500 to the Rockefeller Neurological Institute of the West Virginia University, Steve's alma mater. May the New Year bring peace and blessing to Marge and everyone in the family. God Bless!
