Obituary of Rosie Mae Dalton

Rosie Mae Dalton, 75, of Morgantown, went home to be with Jesus after a long-term illness on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born August 4, 1947 in Monongalia County, a daughter of the late Roy and Leslie (McVicker) Davis.
She was a long-time member of the Word of Life Tabernacle and was an avid gospel singer, even singing on the radio. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Vernon Dalton; children, Tammy Hertzog, Tina Hilling and her husband Rick, Sue Dalton and her husband Joe and Vernon Dalton and his wife Tina; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; special nephew and niece, Doug and Charlotte Long; and her beloved cat, Tom.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son in law, Bruce Hertzog; mother and father in law, Evie and Dellas Dalton; and many brothers and sisters and brothers and sister in law.
Friends and family will be received at Word of Life Tabernacle Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown, on Tuesday, November 29th from 3:00 PM until the time of the funeral service on Wednesday, November 30th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Elmer A. Nicholson officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
