I took care of Sean's mom Lois until she passed. He will be missed I miss watching scary movies with him and ghost. Wish I could of helped him more saved his life once.we will meet again one day love you Sean. I will try and check on ghost be nice to see him.
I met Sean in High School and discovered we had a mutual interest in art. I will always remember him as a very talented and unique person. We were having a chat via Facebook on Christmas Eve that brought back many good memories. It broke my heart to learn we had lost him only a few days later. Rest easy old friend.
Sean: it is with heartfelt sympathy that I learn of your passing. My memories of you center around times that you would join Mike, me and our other buddies when we were hanging out at “Murphy’s”, as well as having been one of your graduate school instructors during my time as an off-campus lecturer for WVU. I have thought of you, Mike and your family often these last years. I take solace in knowing that you, he and Mr. and Mrs. Murphy are reunited….you and Mike both will continue to be remembered and missed by all of us who had the great fortune to spend a great part of our youth together. Rest in peace my friend and remind your brother that Charlie and Lam still miss him!
Sean was a kind hearted person. He always treated me with respect and when I saw him anywhere he greeted me with a smile. I’m sad to know he will no longer be with us.

I met Murph a few months before his passing. A new hire at my place of employment, I noticed that every day he was wearing a movie t-shirt. After a few days we struck up conversations about horrors movies. Those conversations and the offhand topics that would soon follow were something I looked forward to each day he worked. I could tell this man had a big heart in spite of his love for the gruesome horror movies he so loved. He was a kindred spirit and genuine human being. I was bummed when he left the warehouse due to the toll it was taking on him and I was saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts go to his family and friends who knew him better than I did. Rest easy Dr. Murph, I wish we had met sooner. May the next journey be filled with joy and peace and the best of films.
Murph was a very sweet person and a true original . I was a bit intimidated by his amazing Dr.Murph character, it was truly impressive to me! Dr. Murph was a kind of celebrity to me too. He and his wife were so sweet to me and I will never forget such a wall of Godzillas in my life!. And now I do think of Murph as I watch Godzilla films with my 8 year old who loves Godzilla too. Murph will be missed, he brought so much sincere character into this world. I feel we need more of that. I'm glad he was true to himself , I think we all learned something from him, even in brief encounters.
Murph and I worked as dishwashers together in La Casa when it moved by the river. It was summertime and it would get up to 127° in the kitchen. It was a wild kitchen as most kitchens are, and to add to the atmosphere, Murph would play 90 minute cassette mixes he would make of Godzilla‘s different ROARs my go to music at the time was Bad Brains demo - black dots. Murph also made a Godzilla VHS mix for me to gift to my brothers at that time. Anyone who knew murph has lots of stories about him. He was special in many ways, and I’m grateful to have shared the stage with him many years after we got out of that kitchen. rest in peace brother <3 - Eli
Murph had just recently come to me to repair his Dr. Murph doll/ puppet. I loved hearing his ideas about props for his halloween shows. Rest easy Murph
