I first met Mike at St. Francis in second grade. We continued as classmates through High School. Mike was always good natured and easy going. He was kind. He was funny, with a subtle, low-key type of humor. I can't think of a time when he ever got into trouble or caused trouble. Everybody liked Mike. He was simply a good person. I am stunned by his passing. Rest in peace my friend. You won't be forgotten.
My deepest sympathies to the Pinion family. I learned of this sad news today. I attended St. Francis with Michael and the best word I can use to describe him is "gentleman". He was mature beyond his years. Was sorry to not be able to see him at our class reunion last year. Happy that he was able to spend his years in Morgantown.

I met Michael, almost 38 years ago. What started out as a business relationship, turned into 38 years of becoming friends. Michael was always kind, respectful and loyal to the end. Michael was so very proud of his family and had every right to be. He and Suzanne raised 4 fine young men.

I attended Bethany College & was in the same fraternity as Michael "The Wizard" Pinion. We graduated in the same class of 1975. Mike returned home to Morgantown and began buying & fixing up real estate for student housing, while I attended graduate school at WVU. We became even better friends during those 2 years that we had been during the whole 4 years at Bethany. Those were some good times that I remember fondly to this day. His passing, way too young, makes me sad. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Michael (Mike to me and the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon) was a good friend, brother, and companion. His charm and energy permeated our chapter house. We wish the family well in this difficult time and will remember Mike and the spirit he embodied.
Mike was always a kind and generous man who gave his all to the people he came in contact with. Both him and his wife contributed to their community endlessly. I will always remember his presence on the soccer fields watching our boys play. He was a big part of Evan's youth years. Rest In Peace and God's arms to surround your family during this time.
