Obituary of Nancy "Lynne" Crane

Nancy “Lynne” Crane, 67, of Southport, NC, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Bolivia, NC. She was born June 25, 1955, in Morgantown, daughter of Robert and Nancy (Edwards) Conners. Lynne graduated from WVU in 1996 Summa Cum Lauda and went on to proudly graduate from WVU Law School in 1999. In between, she worked as deputy clerk in both the Monongalia County Clerk’s Office and the Monongalia County Tax Office. She went on to serve as an attorney for 20 years before retiring in 2019. So many of her clients, as those in the court system, not only looked upon her outstanding legal abilities, but could see her heart was in it for each and every client. Lynne served as President of J. Douglas Crane, LC law firm, served as a Fiduciary Commissioner for Monongalia County Commission, and Treasurer for the Mon County Bar Association for several years as well. In addition to her parents, left to cherish her memories are his loving husband of 35 years, J. Douglas Crane; sons, Michael and Ian Davis; grandchildren, Alexander, Matias, Alizabeth and Logan; parents, Robert B. and Nancy (Edwards) Conners; siblings, Kathie Key, Julie Randolph, Robert Conners, Jr., and Steven Conners. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Saturday, February 11th from 1 – 5 p.m. Following the visitation, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home/Omega Crematory.
