Obituary of Warden J. Rice

Warden J. Rice, 92, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Madison Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on June 24, 1930, the son of the late Thomas E. and Viola M. (Bell) Rice in Bolair, Webster County, West Virginia.
Warden enlisted in the U. S. Air Force proudly serving two years in the Philippines and two years at Palm Beach, Florida. He went on to work for 17 years at Sterling Faucet, Equitable Life Insurance for 19 years, American General Life and Accident Insurance for several years and retired as the District Manager of the Morgantown office.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Anne (Trickett) Rice of Morgantown; brothers, Dwain (Thelma) of Morgantown, Donald (Patsy) of N. Chesterfield, VA, and Doye and (Lou) of Dinwiddie, VA; sister, Verlene (Berton) Coakley of Richmond, VA along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Warden is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Miller Rice; brothers, Warren of Cassville, Elisha of Rockford, IL; and sister, Mabel, of Upper Glade, WV.

Friends and family will be received at Morgantown Bible Church, 1407 Brookhaven Road, Morgantown on Saturday, April 1st from 10 am until the time of the memorial service at 11 am with Pastor James Cooley, II, officiating.
