(Norma) Christine Burkett, 71, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her home.
Christine was born on October 25, 1951, the daughter of the late Dayne and Vivian Pugh.
Christine was a member of the Brookhaven Methodist Church, In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crafting, and sewing. She was always happiest when she was spending time with her loving family.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband Johnny Ray Burkett; Daughter Tracey Wyatt and longtime boyfriend Lonnie Woodburn; Son, Dan, and his wife Synneve Mercer; Brother, William Pugh, and his wife Michele; Sisters, Sharon and husband Richard Clem, Dawn, and her husband George Miller; Grandchildren, Courtney and her husband Justin Knotts, Levi Wyatt, Noah Wyatt, Ben Mercer and his mother Alison Mercer; Great-grandson, Carter Knotts. Stepson, Johnny Burkett, and his wife Tami; Step grandchildren, Shauna Tennant-Stump, Kelsi Burkett and, Emmalee Burkett; Also, her longtime friend and neighbor Patsy McCormick.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Mercer.
A celebration of life will take place April 1, 1 pm at Brookhaven United Methodist Church with Pamela Todd, CLM officiating.
