Faithful servant to God, Barbara Ellen Bowser, 90, of Morgantown, passed away February 22, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Barbara was born June 4, 1932 in Fairmont, WV, to the late Delmar Thomas and Lillian Beatrice Hughes. Barbara was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Christian who enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her loved ones. Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Harvey Bowser of 73 years; daughters, Sharon Wotring and Pamela Slider (Phillip); sons, Charles Bowser, and Stephen Bowser (Billie Jo); son-in-law, Danny Berkshire; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Beside her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Sypolt, Joetta Lee Messenger, Alice Cole, and Ruth Ann Martin; her daughter, Deborah Berkshire; and two grandchildren, Stacy Titchnell and Sheridan Wotring. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Saturday February 25, 2023, from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 PM.
