George Cooper Kolosoff, 90, of Star City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 16 days before his 91st birthday. Cooper was born March 23, 1932, in Marion County, West Virginia, son of the late William and Martha (Andre) Kolosoff. Cooper served in the United States Navy during WWII. Throughout his life, he wore many hats. He worked as a truck driver, mechanic, lawncare professional and grounds keeper. He also worked for a local real estate company for 35 dedicated years and to this day, is known as the company's longest serving employee. Cooper is survived by his nephew, Albert Claudio, Jr. and niece, Ella Andre Schaffer, and great nephews, Albert III and Dominic Claudio. Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory has been entrusted with cremation arrangements. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, for a visitation on Thursday, March 23rd from 4 – 6 pm.
