Obituary of Larry Delano Swaney

Larry Delano Swaney Sr., of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, April 1st, at Mon Health Medical Center. He was born January 31, 1954 in Waynesburg PA, he was the son of Robert and Dorothea Swaney of Waynesburg PA.
He attended Waynesburg High School. He worked at Humphrey #7 and Martinka Mine until they closed. He also did construction on the side. He then drove truck for Gainey Transportation, and Laurita Trucking as well as Don Mayer Trucking until he retired. Larry was in the Army National Guard.
Larry is survived by his wife Helen Welch Swaney, sons; Larry D Jr., (Talley), daughters; Roberta and Samantha Swaney, sisters; Sharon Nagy and Rose Huey, grandsons; Austin Cutright, Chase Cutright (Alexis), Corey Swaney and Gunner Wilson, granddaughters Brittany McDonald and Baily Longwell (Dillon), great grandkids Wesson Murray and Graysyn Cutright, brothers Chuck Bihun, Kenny Foyles, sister in law, Joyce Daft, brother in law; Robert J Welch (Lee) and Jackie Shahan, As well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Robin and Bill, sister in law; Heidi Shahan, Bonny Laraway, brother in laws; Jerry Nagy, and Elroy Huey, Nephews; Jamie (Chub) Welch, Chris and Josh Moore, and Kevin Daft.
He will be sadly missed by his little Sissy bug.
