I met Chris & the Martin's when I was in 3rd grade at Mountainview. Jessica was new and road my bus and was in my class and we became close friends quickly. Her older siblings were so nice and always looked out and protected us "younger kids" I remember the ice skating rink, hanging out all of us. Jess, Christine, Kristin, myself, desire, and just a big group of us and our older siblings. Chris was such a sweet guy with a beautiful smile and big heart. He was always so sweet, in high school if he saw me skipping, he'd say, "Girl get your butt to class!" LOL he's right, I needed too. He's going to be missed greatly. My heart is heavy but I know you're in a better place. The Heavens got a little more beautiful when they gained an Angel such as yourself❤️ Rest easy friend.

Damn, I’ve known you for so long and at the same time my thoughts are so near and far! Of course one of the memories that anyone can say about Chris is his smile and that chuckle of a laugh that he had, that’s definitely something that I’ll never forget! I still can remember the first time that I met Chris was in 5th grade at Mountainview Elementary School. He just moved to Morgantown and he had approached me about a fellow friend of mine’s that was wanting to start some trouble with (the new kid) but I was able to squash the bs and we became friends ever since then. I can also remember hanging out in Gardens and the Martins living right by the basketball court and Chris could shot some hoops unlike myself, but yea he had that layup and would kinda like slap his hands together when he went up for the shot. I could go on for days and I wish that we had more time together because it’s never enough in life but with a heavy heart your life was cut short! You will always hold a place in my heart until we meet again my brother Rest in Peace Christopher Martin!!
