Marlo Wayne Gregory, 51, of Morgantown passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his home. Marlo was born on November 22, 1971, and grew up in Carnegie, PA, the son of the late Robert (Diana) Gregory, and his mother Princess Lacey. Though short, Marlo's life was full, and he brought much joy into the lives of those who knew him. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Marlo had the biggest heart and smile that lit up any and every room. In addition, he was strong-willed and had much determination. He took on every challenge head-on and was always admired for his strength. He spent his best times with friends and family; including his fur babies: Maggie and Horton. Marlo loved playing bingo, spending time at the poker tables, watching Judge Judy, traveling, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was always up for a new adventure. Marlo was without a doubt, one of a kind in every way, and the world will not be the same without him! He will be dearly missed by many. Marlo is survived by his daughters, Chanda (Korey) Edmonson, Kara (Dan) Olkonen; grandson Roman Edmonson; girlfriend Jessica Cooper; Brother Robert Gregory; step-siblings. Richard Karmann, Philip Daniel (Deanna) Fluharty, Elaine (Mike) Ragland, Bobbi (Chuck) Dirling; Uncle of Alonzo, Charlie Jr., Stephon, Amber, Ashley, James along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Marlo is preceded in death by sister-in-law Gayla Patmon (Gregory), nephew Larenzo Gregory, and Aunt Patty Yarbrough. A special thank you to WVU Medicine Hospice for the wonderful support, care, and kindness they provided. In accordance with Marlo's wishes cremation services are being provided by Hastings Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held sometime in the future and those who knew and loved him best should come ready to share memories. Send condolences online at hastingsfuneralhome.com
